Your GP Practice supports a medicines management review service of medications prescribed to its patients. This service involves a review of prescribed medications to ensure patients receive the most appropriate, up to date and cost-effective treatments.

If you are planning to travel abroad you may need some travel vaccinations and immunisations before you go.  Ideally you would look into this at least 6 months before you travel as some vaccinations include a course of vaccinations which are administered over time.  Not all vaccines are available on the NHS which means you may need to source some privately (you will need to pay for these).  We do not offer private travel advice or vaccinations, we only offer those available to you on the NHS.  To help you know what you need for the area you are travelling to, please visit masta-travel-health.com and complete the online consultation.  You will then be provided with information what you need.  If you drop this consultation into us, we can take a look at what you need and what is available on the NHS against what you have already had in the past.  We will order in any NHS vaccines and book you an appointment to have these.  Any vaccines or medication that is not available on the NHS will need to be sources privately from a Travel Clinic (such as Masta).

Stopping smoking isn’t easy, but we’re here to help. We can offer tailored treatments & professional support to quit smoking.

If you have menopausal symptoms that interfere with your day-to-day life, we can run tests and offer treatments.

Congratulations!  We appreciate life will be busy right now and there’s lots to do but please don’t forget to pop in and see us to register baby with the Practice.  Bring along your Red Book which contains baby’s NHS number.  This will help us to register baby quicker.

Both baby and Mum will need to book in for a review at 8 weeks with a GP followed by baby’s first immunisations with a Practice Nurse.  Please make sure baby is registered and you call us to book these appointments ideally 3 weeks in advance so that we can co-ordinate seeing Mum and baby at the same time to save your valuable time.

If you or your child has Asthma symptoms we can help diagnose and offer the correct treatment after doing some simple tests.

You should see us straight away if you have any symptoms of Diabetes. We will check your urine, and blood sugar levels and offer professional advice.

We can help you reduce the risk of developing heart disease. Make an appointment and we can run through lifestyle changes that will support your hearts health.

We have appointments available on the first Saturday of each month at Aysgarth with a mix of clinicians which includes Dr Pain and Fiona Morrison, ANP.  Just ask reception for a Better Access appointment at Aysgarth.  Other appointments are available on weekday evenings and weekends at other sites across Richmondshire.
